I & K Motors was established in 1983 in the village of Old Rayne, ten miles north of Inverurie. From very humble beginnings with a stock of five vehicles, the business was established with the idea of selling top quality vehicles at good value for money with an excellent after sales service.

Our low pricing policy with the benefit of our friendly and helpful after sales service has always been and remains our main objective today. We have come a long way since the early days in Old Rayne and our company has gone from strength to strength. However, we maintain our business philosophy of providing:

We may not always get it right but we always strive to do our best! Our many repeat customers are testament to our good business practices and customer care policy.

Our business grew so rapidly that larger premises were required for our extended vehicle stock and growing customers. In 1987 the business was relocated to Burghmuir Way, INVERURIE to a new purpose built showroom with workshop and sales forecourt. This was then updated and refurbished in 1999 with a workshop expansion providing MOT facilities, updated Parts store and additional offices.

Once again the growth of our company meant we needed larger premises to cater for the ever increasing sales and service customers. Vehicles were becoming too congested, customer and staff parking spaces were inadequate and as a consequence our customer care was being compromised. Finally, in 2006, after a long search for the right site, the sales department was moved to Highclere Business Park, INVERURIE. We now have two sites in INVERURIE -

Steve Innes started the business in 1983 having had experience in the Motor Trade with a main dealership. Steve still heads the company today. He is in charge of the day to day running of the business and still personally selects every sales vehicle.

Lorna Innes has been involved in the business since it started but it was not until 1989, after leaving a career in banking, that a full time position was taken for accounting and administration control.

All “I & K” staff are friendly, helpful and most have had many years experience in their particular field.

“I & K” is a family run business who care about their customers and want them to keep coming back again and again. We would like our customers to have piece of mind in all their motoring requirements. Now employing a staff of over 30, I & K Motors are large enough to compete with the multiples whilst retaining personal courtesy and service.
